Oh boy an interesting one here but i like how directionless this feels, it’s basically bo burnham writing about everything and anything and leaving a lot of it up to interpretation. not every song has a huge impact on me, “facetime with my mom” is just a good track to me, but i don’t really take everything here that seriously. bo is genuinely a great artist and songwriter and that’s what makes all the weird ideas work.

i know this isn’t for everyone, especially with the kind of band kid theater kid humor and weird musical choices that can easily come off as cringe if you aren’t into it. i’m not big on “problematic,” the “bezos” songs or some of the 8-bit sounding stuff, and a few songs blend together, but there’s clearly a point behind those choices. at the end of the day if it sounds good to me i’ll listen to it.
