A lot of us have been waiting seven years for this: here's the first single from Khaela Maricich's forthcoming self-titled record as the Blow and follow-up to 2006's exquisite Paper Television, which sees release on October 1 via Kanine. Our first listen to the project's sound with new member Melissa Dyne, "Make It Up" is more rhythmically streamlined and melodic than Paper Television's Jona Bechtolt-assisted glitch-damaged productions, but there's still plenty handmade off-kilterness abounding here.
