An audio engineer, a nightclub owner, and a multi-disciplinary visual artist walk into a bar… or maybe Michael Sherburn, John Barclay, and Greem Jellyfish met some other way in New York City and decided to form DUST, that rara avis, the live techno group. Since Barclay runs the vital electronic music hub Bossa Nova Civic Club in Bushwick, perhaps they all met there. And maybe BNCC's dancefloor inspired the name of their new single, "Breeding Pit". Taken from DUST's upcoming debut album, Agony Planet, this salacious track throbs and seethes, the processed vocals of Jellyfish shoving the track even deeper into already dark recesses.
