This album is amazing right here. I love the the blend of blues, psych rock, and pop. It’s such a beautiful blend that perfectly encapsulates the 60’s music. Jerry Garcia also played a role in shaping this album. That can explain some of the sounds throughout this album. He was also listed as a spiritual advisor or something like that. I love every single song on here except for possibly the 9th track. The intro is just so beautiful and gives off such an inviting song to the album. Robert Plant actually recently said this was one of his favorite vocal performances by Grace Slick. Somebody to Love and White rabbit are songs that are culturally relevant for the music during that time. The psychedelic lyricism and almost militant sounding drums is just fantastic. 3/5 of a mile in 10 seconds is also amazing and adds another layer of psychedelia to the album. In the morning is such a good blues track. Really just a solid body of work. It’s also worth noting the band performed some of their music at Woodstock while tripping off acid. Fucking crazy like how tf lmao.
