What might Ke$ha sound like if she were very sad? That's a question Tove Lo, another addition to Stockholm's excellent crop of of pop singers, might be trying to answer. On "Habits", she copes with lost love in ways that are entirely customary but not often explored in song lyrics: by indulging slovenly habits, eating food in the bathtub (paging Lena Dunham!), getting drunk at the club, binging on baked goods afterward and then passing out. A click-pop beat and a huge hook are enough to make the experience of drunk munchies sound gracefully sad instead of tragic.
