Au Revoir Simone's last album, 2009's Still Night, Still Light, was a serious leap for the synth-y trio in terms of songcraft and production-- and then, they more or less vanished, save for a remix album and a solo EP from ARS member Erika Spring. Four years later, the band's back with a new full-length, Move in Spectrums, which sees release on September 23 in Europe via Moshi Moshi and the next day in the U.S. via Instant. First single "Somebody Who" suggests the band is heading into even lusher, slightly more dancey territories, which sounds like a good path for them to take.
