While Future Times honcho Maxmillion Dunbar recently released his second full-length House of Woo, the label itself has been dormant of late (and pressing-plant issues have not helped matters). Thankfully, they’ve returned with a release from Kansas City’s Huerco S., who has had his music released on Opal Tapes and Boomkat Editions. “Apheleia's Theme” is in the lo-fi, low-slung end of the house music spectrum, as a whalloping kick and incessant hi-hat push the track for nine solid slow-building minutes, while the throbbing bass feels as sticky and sweaty as a poncho in July.
