Chicago noise-rock trio Harpoon features members of experimental grindcore crew 7,000 Dying Rats (including ex-Lair of the Minotaur bassist Donald James Barraca), a guitarist, and a drum machine cycling through a number of styles (thrash, death, prog, "blackened") and tempos (mid, chugging, very fast) on sophomore album Deception Among Birds, out now via Seventh Rule.
