One of the most pleasant surprises 2012 had to offer was the self-titled debut by New York indie-pop outfit Hospitality, a pitch-perfect mix of warm, creative instrumentation and clever lyricism. Following a single that came out the same year, Hospitality return on January 28 with a new album, Trouble, via Merge (a day before in the UK and Europe via Fire); "Rockets and Jets" takes a different direction from what was heard on the debut, embracing dark, dour synths and vocalist Amber Papini's slightly growling lower register.
