Amor De Días' 2011 debut, Street of the Love of Days, was a collection of soft-focus pop and Spanish folk sketches that drew attention away from its main selling point: the presence of Alasdair MacLean, frontman of the on-hiatus Clientele. The first single from Amor De Dias' sophomore bow, "Jean's Waving", possesses cutting, clean guitars and a sprightly tempo that recalls the later work of the Clientele, while MacLean's voice stops time completely as he reels off his favorite images-- houses passing by, streets, rain, and, of course, the memory of someone waving goodbye.
