If you've been frequently compared to Fugazi before you even drop your first full-length, it's probably a good idea to have a sense of humor about it. And so, coming off three acclaimed EPs, Toronto punk band Greys begin their upcoming Carpark debut If Anything with a 90-second blast of dissonant, bent guitars called—wait for it—"Guy Picciotto". Vocalist Shehzaad Jiwani's got jokes beyond that reference, as he shouts in deadpan, "There goes my hero!/ He lives right down the street!/There goes my hero!/ He plays the same guitar as me!" But as he barks, "You do what I do/ I do it too" on the hook in faux-wonder, it could be heard as mocking naive bands that get caught up in idol worship. Does it really sound like Fugazi?  Not entirely: the harmonized chorus and out-of-nowhere modulation towards the end would certainly throw anything from 13 Songs off track. You could call "Guy Picciotto" a little "on the nose", but so is a punch to the face.
