It's been a long time—four years, in fact—since Casey Dienel's deconstructionist-pop project White Hinterland released anything, specifically 2010's intriguing Kairos. On April 1, Dienel returns with Baby, the project's third LP, via Dead Oceans; first single "Ring the Bell" finds Dienel exploring her more vocally acrobatic side, with a style that's altogther more strident and outgoing than the relative mistiness found on Kairos.
