When D.C. trio Misun released their debut The Sea last spring, the band was confidently mellow, blending singer Misun Wojcik's soulful and summery sentiments with Nacey and Will DeVon's experimental electro-pop production. Back then, they described themselves as "aquawave", but on "Goodbye Sasha", the trio enters an entirely different climate. The song is a promenading romp of subtle moombahton-infected drums, jaunty keys, and the incessant cat-call of a bloated airhorn. "Goodbye Sasha" takes Misun a step closer to the dancefloor, and Wojick's fiercely catchy hook struts all over it.
