The most recent offering from British punk act Eagulls was an EP for Canadian hardcore label Deranged Records (Fucked Up, White Lung), which included the relatively slick, hook-oriented "Moulting". Today they're sharing "Nerve Endings", a comparatively raw, anxious post-punk single off a new 7" from Brooklyn label Partisan, where they'll release a full-length in 2014. It hits heavier than the last EP with gloomier atmosphere and a more thorough encapsulation of frontman George Mitchell's deadpan live presence without losing the strong melodic effect that's coarsed through their material so far. It comes backed by a cover of Killing Joke's "Requiem" and will be released September 30 on vinyl in the UK.
