The first single off Falmouth/Brighton-based band Tall Ships' debut, "Gallop", worries about the onset of ageing from the perspective of an early 20-something, which is rare for a band who usually sing about romance through geological metaphors. Simply sung, it's a frenzied, post-rocky outpouring of thoughts that you will be familiar with, or will have had-- "Hope is hard to find when you don't know what you're looking for"-- that offers no solutions, but never presumes to wear hopelessness as a badge of honor.
