Coasting is the project of Vivian Girls drummer Fiona Campbell and Madison Farmer, an employee at Memphis garage imprint Goner. There are hints of their respective musical identities all over "Portland", the duo's latest single, which cuts the fuzz-laden formula of their noisy 2010 garage rocker "Kids" with a sweeter pop sensibility. The track comes from their debut full-length, You're Never Going Back, out November 15 on grrrl-centric Brooklyn label M'Lady's. (via Gorilla vs. Bear)
