A dramatic and cinematic sounding record. Sometimes hypnotic, sometimes dull.

With a beautiful sound and nearly perfect mixing, So Help Me God becomes a very interesting follow up to her debut.

Even if the album is full of creative and overwhelmingly bright, grandious moments, the album at points feels so pretentious the actual point of the songs gets deluded by a sea of ideas that don’t always land.

With her sophomore, the singer-songwriter seems to lack focus or want to add so much that it becomes too much.
