Two of the most promising young producers in their respective countries today—Korean artist Sima Kim and Japan's Ryuei Kotoge—teamed up earlier this summer to work on the shifty "Rêveur". On their own, both create shadowy electronic tracks that balance a sense of unease without sacrificing melody. "Rêveur" moves at a relaxed pace, and the producers sprinkle some Brainfeeder-worthy laser sounds over the groove. They also throw in some twists—channel-hopping sounds, intimidating bass squall, and vocal samples yelping away. It's an intriguing work from two of Asia's best young beatmakers.
