New Jersey punk fixtures Screaming Females have had to put their incessant tour schedule on pause as of late, but in the meantime they've assembled a new, cassette-only collection of home-recordings for the concept-driven Chalk Tape, out February 10 via Don Giovanni. "Poison Arrow" pares back the band's usual shredding and shrieking, driven instead by homespun melodies about the "modern jungle" and scratchy fretwork, reminiscent a bit more of their early records than last year's Albini-produced Ugly.
