After a busy 2012, prolific Brattleboro, Vt., duo Blanche Blanche Blanche will continue their extraterrestrial pop explorations with a new full-length, Wooden Ball, out March 5 via NNA Tapes. Though still captured on four-track, the record's first cut "Rich Man" finds BBB working a heavier sound, amping the production values of their proggy lo-fi synth orchestrations without sacrificing any of their adventurous spirit-- from surreal, childlike piano bits to droning dissonance and everything in between (including the subtle political implications that come with a song called "Rich Man").
