As Helm, Luke Younger's been working with the darker corners of drone and noise for a while now; last year, he released the Geneva Cave cassette on Hospital, as well as the Impossible Symmetry release on PAN. Younger's back on PAN again for his new EP, Silencer, which is out September 9 via that label and Younger's own Alter label. The title track is a nearly ten-minute slice of thick, clattering stuff, with noises piled on top of noises to produce a nearly trance-like effect.
