Since surfacing in 2011, British producer Joshua Leary's Evian Christ project has released various tracks taking elements of dance sub-genres to create his own sound, leading him to contribute production to Kanye West’s acclaimed Yeezus and evolve his sound into something  more in-your-face. The title track from his forthcoming Waterfall EP drifts away even further from his formerly placid sound towards more hard-hitting, industrial territory, droning on in brazen, jarring fashion while retaining an unwavering urgency. The bass-heavy sound assaults the senses and makes “Waterfall” one of his harshest tracks to date.
