Parquet Courts have traveled far on the back of last year's winning, smart, and compact Light Up Gold, and now they're releasing a brief EP, Tally All the Things That You Broke, on October 8 via What's Your Rupture?. It's possible that the lyrics to "You've Got Me Wonderin' Now" were scribbled in the same notebook that singer Andrew Savage mined for dart-like little songs like "Borrowed Time" and "Careers in Combat", since it comes from the exact same headspace: guitars scurrying around like bumper cars, a riff that dingles like a bodega-window bell, and endearingly overstuffed lyric. The riff is doubled by a sour little Flutophone, just another little piece of urban mania zigzagging manically across the six-lane highway of Savage's mind.
