RE RE REVIEW 2026 projects and stuff Project: #003 Title: The Fall Off Artist: J Cole The album itself is decent, after a couple relistens it doesn't really make up to the reputation it has. It's good, that's for sure, but it's nothing massively huge. Tracks feel developed yet some feel tedious and some instrumentals don't really feel like the base of the track, but just something that was there for the artist to just rap over rather than making it the identity of the track, which in my opinion by trend is what makes a track great, the music is obviously the most important part in music. The rapping however is incredible, there is passion in the flows and lyricism equally and they both compliment each other perfectly. The storytelling also compliments the lyricism, using a blend of both to bring the album to life. There also some really great moments in this album, which definitely includes the decelerrating sort of story telling towards the end of some songs (for example Hit the Gas), and some really high tracks. Also overall, most tracks feel like they're put together well, especially structurally, the vocals in each song sit well with each other whilst the instrumentals keep it alive.
