"O.M.O." is the third and final song in Pat Jordache's singles series, which has hopefully been anticipating a follow-up to the underrated Future Songs. Rather than palette-cleansing, Jordache has been constructing a new one, leaving behind grimy garage pop for a more intricate array of sounds. "O.M.O." is the one of the most texturally interesting things he's ever done, pushing his voice Knife-wards in the middle of a cascade of burping bass, icy city synths, educational science film sound effects, a chiming, dubby island lull, and-- naturally-- a skronky sax solo. If it had a video, it'd definitely look like one of these.
