Back in the beginning of 2011, Boston indie-pop stylists Minks released a darkly shaded debut LP in the form of By the Hedge, a record that embraced goth's shambling side as much as it did the dusky guitar figures of the Clientele. More than two years later, Minks are back with a new LP, Tides End, which sees release on August 6 via Captured Tracks; these two songs from the LP, the ebuillent "Painted Indian" and the more textured "Everything's Fine", suggest that the band's heading towards brighter territory (not to mention that album art!).
