Japanese songstress Cokiyu is a talent in her own right, so it's interesting to hear how she works with Anticon's Baths on their new collaboration "Twinkle Way". The track is a dreamy haze, with snippets of Cokiyu's airy voice floating all over a skittering drumline. For those who have been missing Baths since 2010's Cerulean, this should feed the itch-- the song feels like a streamlined version of "Maximalist" with a little "Apologetic Shoulderblades"-esque harmony thrown in there. Cokiyu's pop sensibilities strike a perfect balance with Wiesenfeld's experimental tendencies, resulting in a strange, pleasant listen.
