Earlier this month, Girls frontman Christopher Owens left his own band (read about the reasons why here). This early version of "Forgiveness", recorded at WNYU more than three years before the release of last year's brilliant final missive, Father, Son, Holy Ghost, is a bittersweet reminder of why quite a few people will miss having this band around in its original incarnation.
