Jenn Wasner's voice is an impressive force of a thing, as seen on her work as half of Wye Oak, as well as her own Flock of Dimes solo project. It's jarring to hear that voice, then, occasionally processed through electronic filters on "Nightlight", the latest single from her and Jon Ehrens' Dungeonesse project-- not because it doesn't work, but because her voice takes to the synthetic surroundings so well, blending in with the aqueous production and glistening synths surrounding her. Dungeonesse, the project's debut LP, is out May 14 via Secretly Canadian.
