Like fellow stylistic sadist Blawan, Objekt seems to take pleasure in laying low and occasionally eking out blasts of brisk, bass-heavy techno. "Fishbone", the B-side from the third release for Objekt's eponymous label, may be as close as Objekt ever comes to making psychedelic music. The track's melody has been nearly vaporized, as it hovers in small particles panning from speaker-to-speaker, along with a sampled voice so digitized and burned-out it's barely recognizable. It's a bit starry and wide-eyed, at least for Objekt, though on top of this we get the usual pummeling kicks, synth-y snares, and pinprick zaps that normally comprise his percussion. It's not much—it never is—but it's enough to keep heads bobbing, an arm's length away.
