Whether as a part of sadly defunct duo Delia & Gavin or under one of his solo guises (such as Black Meteoric Star), hypnotic producer Gavin Russom's always been concerned with utilizing blissfully punishing repetition. "We Came To", the first single from the self-titled debut from Russom's project with Viva Ruiz, the Crystal Ark, was a traditional dancefloor zoner; as the title suggests, this new one from the LP incorporates distinctly Latin elements to result in something that's percolating and heady. The Crystal Ark is out October 30 via DFA.
