London-via-North Yorkshire four-piece Grass House like to call their sound "outsider pop," which is just about the emptiest description going. In actual fact, the first single from their forthcoming Marshall Teller debut, due this fall, is a lugubrious tale of survival in the face of an increasingly destructive Mother Nature, told like Nick Cave reciting a ghost story to small children over a gothy, bluesy guitar burr.
