Melbourne four-piece the Stevens continue the tradition of Flying Nun-style indie-pop that's grown in stature in Australia over the past several years. "Hindsight" diverts slightly from the Guided by Voices-esque hum and drone of their earlier tracks and heads towards janglier rhythm, stepping into line with contemporaries like Bitch Prefect, Camperdown & Out, and Twerps, whose drummer plays guitar for the Stevens.

On "Hindsight", they bring the rich melodic pop of their previous work to the top of the mix with a whining synth and crisp production, maintaining some of the almost timid quality of their earlier recordings but giving themselves a much fuller sound. "Hindsight" is off their forthcoming debut LP, A History of Hygiene, which is out November 1 via Chapter Music.
