Abstract producer Sd Laika makes intense beat music so directly influenced by grime's brash audaciousness that you'd think he hails from the UK—but, surprise, he doesn't! This guy's actually from Milwaukee, and you'll probably recall back in the beginning of last month that he dropped an intriguing 14-minute mini-mix, Idiot Thug, promising "100% Sd" from what was presumably to be his debut release on new label home Tri Angle. Well, that debut release's called That's Harakari (Google it), and it's out April 28—oh, and if new tune "Meshes" is any indication, it promises to be plenty intense, too.
