Manchester producer Rupert Taylor, aka xxxy, has a way with neck-whipping vocal samples, and "Studio 9", the lead single from his forthcoming EP Got Me So, is no different: its darkly colorful buzz is a slight detour from the splashy sounds of last year's solid Everything EP, but the giddy repetition of the vocal sample is pure candy to anyone familiar with Taylor's considerable talent. Got Me So drops February 4 via Rinse.
