AIC is the Face of the Seattle Grunge Scene

Facelift was AIC’s debut album, and it’s nice to hear Layne Staley and original bassist Mike Starr not yet consumed by drug addiction (namely heroin and other opioids) before it would eventually kill both of them

I believe Dirt is their magnum opus, but Facelift is an amazing debut, even if it starts to drop off in quality a bit near the end of the record
