As previously reported, El-P's gearing up to release a new album, Cancer for Cure, on Fat Possum. Now, El has remixed first single "drones over BKLYN" as "Rush Over Bklyn", mixing in a sample from Rush's "Tom Sawyer". "Rush Over Bklyn" is the first official sample-based single release through Legitmix, a platform that allows producers and DJs to legally sample music from other sources without going through a sample-clearing process. (We previously posted about a mix Diplo did through the service.) Proceeds from sales of "Rush Over Bklyn" will benefit a fund for DJ/producer Mr. Dibbs, who is suffering from liver disease.
