Dark instrumental trio Sannhet's Known Flood, out February 22, is the first release on Sacrament Music, the new label founded by the guys who run the Brooklyn metal bar and venue Saint Vitus. (Album track "Haunches" features blown-out guest vocals from Saint Vitus' David Castillo, who fronts the band Primitive Weapons.) Sannhet mix pristine post-rock with dirty noise and hardcore, and it wouldn't be wrong to affix the word "blackened" to the overall sound. "Moral" gives an idea, but for three guys who largely stick to basic guitar, drum, bass, and a few half-buried samples, they showcase an impressively deep bag of tricks.
