Last we heard from Vancouver's gloomy sock-hop revivalists Shimmering Stars, they had a split 7" out with dream-pop outfit His Clancyness. On March 5, Almost Musique will release a new EP from the band, Ghosts Past, which will feature the title track and this new one backed by a cover of Songs: Ohia's "Hold on Magnolia". 10% of the EP's proceeds will be donated to the Jason Molina Medical Fund, which goes towards helping the S:O/Magnolia Electric Co. frontman with his current financial and personal issues (you can learn more about the fund here).
