This year marked a few surprising returns from artists that hadn't put anything out in a while—including Khaela Maricich's the Blow project, which put out its first LP in seven years in the form of a satisfying self-titled platter. Now, Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanjili has lent his own remixing hand to The Blow's closer "You're My Light", adding some bleepy synths that aren't too far away from the type of sounds that appeared on Batmanjili's seemingly dormant Discovery project. (Rostam, if you're reading this: please make a new Discovery album. The last one was actually very good.)
