In the past, Hunx and His Punx have dealt in girl-group garage pop that's glammy and homoerotic. But on their new album, things have changed. It's actually a similar transition to one by Seth Bogart's close friend Nobunny, who made the great garage pop album Love Visions before flipping double birds and invoking GG Allin on his Maximumrocknroll EP. Similarly, the new one from Hunx and the gang is called Street Punk, and it's out July 23. "Bad Skin" is just shy of 90 seconds long, and it's an angry, fast, aggro track where they sing about wanting to kill, punch, and stab everyone in sight. Why? Because they have bad skin. The lyrics are screamed, and they're really funny. "I'll kill you with a knife!/ Because I've got bad skiiiiiin!"
