Sacramento producer Lee Bannon has been making noise for a couple of years now, emerging in 2012 with Fantastic Plastic, a record that triangulated Lex Luger-esque bombast, FlyLo-style glitchwork, and the haunting Seattle production duo Blue Sky Black Death. Since then he’s jumped from producing relatively straightforward records for the Pro Era crew to making outsized dance tracks. Bannon recently signed to Ninja Tune, who will release his new LP, Alternate/Endings, on December 9. Album cut "216" is fascinating, as a downtempo opening erupts and contorts, like Araabmuzik’s schizoid MPC eruptions filtered through jungle and drum'n'bass.
