The original "Lion", one of many highlights from Four Tet's excellent singles collection, this year's Pink, was a nine-minute builder that featured some seriously menacing low end amidst a sparkling, click-clacking melody. Jamie xx's remix shaves two minutes off the original's running time and basically turns it inside out, filling its contents with fog and creating an unsettling soundscape. It's a more-than-satisfactory way to return the favor, after Four Tet remixed the xx's "Angels" earlier this year.
