Last time we heard from Canadian warriors Fucked Up was around this time last year, when they let loose the 15-minute single "Year of the Tiger". No sign yet as to the next installment of their ongoing series of Zodiac singles, but here we have a new tune from the band, "21st Century Cling-Ons", part of an already sold-out split with sludge titans Melvins on Amphetamine Reptile. It's almost as if just sharing part of a 12" with Melvins rubbed off on them, as the song shows Fucked Up in a more obtuse, muddier light-- definitely a different look than the guitar heroics on 2011's awesome David Comes to Life.
