In May, RVNG will release A Period of Review, the third installment in its archival series of unheralded artists (joining the likes of Harald Grosskopf and Franco Falsini), focusing on the low-key electronic tones woven by Seattle-based musician Kerry Leimer. Inspired by the dulcet kosmische tones of the likes of Cluster & Eno, K. Leimer released a handful of albums in the early 80s on the Palace of Lights label that rank alongside the most elegant New Age efforts of that era. The piano-and-synth ballad "Gisella" gives us our first taste of that evocative strain of American ambient music that Leimer crafted in the Pacific Northwest.
