Review
Get the appUltraviolence will always be one of my favorite Lana Del Rey albums. As a longtime fan, there’s something about the dark, hazy atmosphere of this record that I keep coming back to. “West Coast,” “Shades of Cool,” “Cruel World,” and “Old Money” are still some of my favorite songs in her catalog. It feels haunting, romantic, messy, and completely Lana. I know Born to Die gets a lot of the attention, but for me, Ultraviolence is where she really showed how powerful her artistry could be. It’s an album I’ll never get tired of.
