Last time we heard from New York synth-pop duo Phantogram in terms of original material, they released 2011's solid Nightlife EP; since then, they've worked with the Flaming Lips, going as so far to appear on the psych warriors' excellent LP from this year, The Terror (they contributed to the album's spiralling ten-minute-plus centerpiece "You Lust"). Looks like there's more new material from Phantogram on the horizon, if this new song "Black Out Days" is any indication; it features darkly shaded electronics, Sarah Barthel's rock-solid vocals, and a warped vocal sample, so it's the Phantogram you still know and love.
