First aired on a star-studded Young Turks radio takeover, the debut release on fledgling club-centric imprint Whities arrives via Cologne-Milano duo Terron, a tough little number that makes no grand gestures, instead relying on micro-managed, serrated swoops for impact. Against a blocky beat shifting beneath, Terron take a variety of metallic signifiers, all rattling sheet metal and swinging cleavers, by which they shape an irregular rhythmic pattern. Scratchy bric-a-brac lines coil atop the silvery latticework as rapid claps shell downwards, adding to the overall clangour. Were it not for a curdled synth and digitised effects bobbling through the final third, "Nº 17 Governing" could easily be mistaken for a 2014 update of the chiming messthetics conjured up by acts like Cabaret Voltaire—or, a less antagonistic Factory Floor demo reel, full of promise.
