Defining the noises within the noise-- creating a living mass rather than an impenetrable wall of sound-- is something that New York producer Gobby is a dab hand at. New track “Slick Boi Gel” clatters, churns, fizzes, drones and gurgles all at once in a compellingly obliterative way. While it finds him continuing to work between the pillars of noise and techno, the result it altogether more organic than the metallic ache of the previous Lantern EP.
