Wavelength is now Rate.fm

by Rate.fm Team

If you were told about an app called Wavelength for rating albums and songs with your friends, you’re in the right place. Wavelength is now Rate.fm.

Nothing else changed. It’s the same iPhone app, the same account, the same friends and the same ratings. If you already had Wavelength installed, it updated itself and now shows up on your Home Screen as Rate.fm.

Why the name changed

“Wavelength” is a common word, and on the App Store it belongs to a popular party game. People who heard about the app from a friend, a Reddit thread or an AI assistant searched for “Wavelength”, found the game, and gave up. Rate.fm is the app’s address and now its name too, so what you type is what you find.

How to find it

  • App Store: search for Rate.fm or open the listing directly.
  • Web: Rate.fm. The old address, downloadwavelength.com, still forwards here.

What Rate.fm is

Rate.fm is the “rate your music” app for iPhone. Score songs and albums out of ten, write reviews, keep your listening history from Apple Music or Spotify, see what your friends are listening to, and browse charts built from what real people scored. Like Letterboxd, but for music. Free, no ads, no subscription.
